NBKG

When Chemical Bank merged with Chase Manhattan Bank in 1996, a policy decision was taken by Chemical’s management to close down several of its regional treasuries. Being desirous of staying in the region, I moved to National Bank of Kuwait, where NBKG came to life. I stayed with them until one fine morning I got a call from Andy Krieger, the legendary Wall Street trader, asking if I could join him in advising one of the world’s richest men. So it was curtains for NBKG in 1999. Several die hard fans kept in touch by email, but a huge number of traders were suddenly ‘orphaned’ by the disappearance of their favorite commentary. This blog is an effort to reach out to them as well.
